If I could be your eyes,

I could see through the pain you’ve felt,

The echoes of the past—

Not just heard, but held—heavy,

Like shadows that never let go. 

I could see through the dawns you survived,

The dark nights you ran through,

And this guy, this nightmare,

Chased after you. 

I could see the pierce in your back,

The strangle on your neck,

The tears that streak your face,

Screams swallowed by pillows,

Choking on silence. 

If I could be your eyes,

I could see the days that turned to lectures,

The sharp words that cut too deep,

The times you were made to feel stupid,

Like your worth was less than nothing. 

I could see the darkness in his heart,

The anger in his eyes—

How you ran,

You always ran,

But still, he waited,

In your room,

In your mind,

In every corner you turned. 

If I could be your eyes,

I’d see doubt fall away,

Piece by piece, like broken glass,

Shattered from the grip of fear.

I’d see the battle behind your gaze,

The courage, wrapped in quiet. 

But still,

You ran.

Away from him,

Only to find him waiting—again,

And again,

And again. 

If I could be your eyes,

I’d see the fight that never stopped,

The scars you tried to hide,

The way you learned to breathe again,

Even with his darkness waiting at every door. 

But here’s the truth—

I am not your eyes,

But I have seen all this, written on you.

I see the held-back tears, the scars, the silence,

More than this—I see the Victor you’re becoming,

The warrior, growing inside you. 

I see the strides,

The excellence, the success,

I see it all—

The rise of someone stronger than before,

A soul that’s never broken,

Even when the world tried to shattered you
